WESTY GRADS STEP INTO THE FUTURE
Years of hard work, interrupted by a historic pandemic, paid off for 319 Westminster High School students on Friday, May 24 as they celebrated their graduation at the Colorado Convention Center in Downtown Denver.
Parents, family and friends packed the Bluebird Ballroom for the first-ever graduation at the brand new venue.
It was the final graduation ceremony for retiring Superintendent Pam Swanson who told the class of 2024 that she had a special bond with them. “At the time most of you were entering kindergarten, I was stepping into the role of Superintendent of Westminster Public Schools,” she said. “I’m sure that for you, those days, in a new role were filled with excitement and a touch of anxiety. I know that was the case for me. For all of us, these past years have been filled with a lot of trial and error, ups and downs, wins and losses. Covid interrupted your lives and learning, but you got through it and you should feel so good about it.”

Graduation is a momentous event for everyone– especially Becky Milanda who not only received her diploma, but also a brand-new car.
