Hola, Hello! My name is Kayla Prieto and I am the Post-Secondary advisor at Westminster High School. I grew up in Commerce City, Colorado and received my Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University. As a first generation Latina, I have loved working with students from similar backgrounds as me in order to provide more opportunities and resources than I had as a student. A highlight of my job is seeing students grow throughout the year as they start being proactive about their future. I love working through all the ins and outs of applying to colleges, scholarships, financial aid, and then seeing students actually starting their college journey. Outside of work, I enjoy going to the gym and spending time with my family and friends.

E-mail: swilliams@wps.org

Hiya, I’m Sierra Williams! My official job role is Post-Secondary Advisor for the Future Center at Hidden Lake High School. I serve as a resource and a conduit to other resources to guide students to their vision for the future by providing them with hands-on support when applying for colleges, scholarships, FAFSA/CASFA, jobs, military, etc. I come from a first-generation, low-income background and ran into a lot of walls in my pursuit of education. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with students and support them over obstacles I had trouble with! When I’m not with students, I’m roller skating, engrossed in a fiction book, or obsessively binge-watching Netflix.
